Visiting Bridal Shops

You might consider bringing slippers. Most bridal shops ask you to remove your shoes. This helps keep the floors clean from outside dirt and keeps the gowns from getting dirty.

Need to fit into your gown?

Take drinking pop out of your diet.

Researchers don't know why, but when you stop drinking pop, especially diet pop, you will notice it easier to fit into your gown. It maybe that it promotes better eating habits or helps prevent your metabolic syndrome of excess abdominal fat, high blood sugar, high triglycerides, low levels of the "good" cholesterol, and elevated blood pressure. Whatever it is, we notice women who have stopped drinking pop are able to zip their dresses with ease.

How to pose for a striking picture?

When you are standing, do not stand facing directly into the camera. Stand at a slight angle to the camera, lower your chin slightly and bend your elbows. If you are holding flowers, make sure that the bouquet is below the bodice of your gown and approximately at your belly button.

When you are sitting, do not cross your legs, sit back in the chair, make sure your shoulders are straight and you are not leaning forward. Also, do not have your body straight on to the camera, the picture is taken at a slight angle.

For your close-up pictures make sure that you are at a slight angle to the camera so one of your arms is naturally hidden from view.

Enhance your make-up. This means to wear it heavier than you normally would so it will show up more naturally in photos and not wash you out. All of these tips are to have you look thin and enhance your special features.
